I have 4 students (ages 10-16) from our local homeschool co-op who are working together in my class on writing for publication this semester. One of their very first projects was a submission to www.SillyBooks.net and they were just informed that they won the February contest. Their link is in the top right corner of the site's main page. They wrote the story and the prize included some cash as well as the professional annimation of their story as an online book. I'm so excited for them! _________________ Jenni Saake

How Wonderful! I have a mom that has a son with Autism and ask where she could get a book published that he wrote. Any suggestions? I don't think she has a lot to put into it. Would this be a site for her? _________________ Earn FREE Books with Usborne

If the story is 300 words or less and has fun content, he could certainly submit it here. They don't do actual book publishing, just select one monthly winner to publish as an online "silly story".
As for actual publishing, let me look through my files and see what links I can come up with for you. _________________ Jenni Saake

Possibly! I'm so glad you followed up on this, because I couldn't remember where I had been asked so I couldn't reply I got the notice of a new post in this thread. I don't know if they would specifically be interested in your friend's son's story, but because of the Autism link and being a publisher too, I might start by contacting http://www.asperger.net/index_childrens_stories.htm
If they aren't interested, they might have input on where to try next. _________________ Jenni Saake
